Equipment

As a full-service railroad contractor, Cranemasters is the industry leader of specialized heavy-lift machinery. We provide the most diversified offering of support services and equipment in the nation. In addition to our fleet of hoists, chain slings, track and rail handling equipment, Cranemasters has engineered our own specialized heavy-lift equipment. These innovations allow for a broader range of motion, and create solutions for rail construction and recovery that previously did not exist.

Meet the 200 RS

200 RS
  • Custom designed crane manufactured to meet the needs of the rail industry
  • Cranemasters co-developed the specifications, adding elements to the crane’s design for its transport as well as quick assembly and disassembly on site
  • A custom trailer has been developed to provide even faster setup and disassembly on-site
  • 600 horsepower
  • Design supports full capacity pick and carry operations at a full 360 degrees of rotation
  • 210,000 pounds of tractive effort supports movement in adverse terrain conditions
  • Composite bonded track pads provide optimal tractive effort while protecting railroad track components
  • High ground clearance facilitates movement over switch stands, other low lying track structures, and obstacles
  • 140,000 pound line pull hydraulic tractor style recovery winch that can be positioned at either end of crane operation
  • The 200 RS is designed to very flexible and adaptive to job demands without sacrificing capability

Tank Car Saver

  • Cranemasters designed and manufactured in-house this truly effective, first of its kind Tank Car Saver lifting attachment
  • Custom designed 180,000-pound capacity device that eliminates damage to tank cars while lifting them during derailment recovery, resulting in significant cost savings for customers
  • Locking design positions center of gravity lifting point above the car for optimal control and safety even with fully or partially loaded cars with contents that can shift
  • Design protected by U.S. Patent Nos. 10,150,651; 10,577,226; D930,052; and D931,342. Other patents pending.
  • Legs fold out to store assembly anywhere during derailment project
